Wellbeing Champion Registration

The requirement for DBS checks are at the discretion of the group/organisation, who must decide on the criteria which requires individuals to undergo an Enhanced DBS check; but at the least should include any individual who will be working with a adult who fits the legal definition of a an Adult at Risk and the Institute of Wellbeing recommends that these checks are carried out as a matter of good practice.
Please note that there is no legal requirement for DBS checks to be carried out at all on anyone wanting to become a Wellbeing Champion, because Wellbeing Champions is not a ‘regulated activity’.
